| True Love is a women's magazine
written by the readers. Each month, we print between ten
and twelve stories, several poems, and features such as
"How I Know I'm Love" and "Here Comes The
Bride." The best way to learn our editorial style is
to read the magazine itself and study the range of
possibilities. We look for true stories that involve real people and real emotions. Our subject matter ranges from light romance to inspirational to current social concerns. Some aspect of love and romance will usually figure in, but it need not be the primary focus of the story. Characters will often face a conflict or solve a problem in their lives that can inspire True Love readers. All stories should be written in the first person, typed, and double-spaced. Stories can range from 2,000 to 10,000 words. Holiday submissions should be sent six months ahead of time. Our current rate of pay is three cents a word, and payment is made on the last Friday of the month the story is published. No byline is offered. We buy ALL RIGHTS to every story, poem, and feature, including those with pictures. A self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage must be included for manuscripts to be returned.
